My Hair Routine #1: Washing
My Hair Routine #1: Washing
Everyone has their own way of washing their hair. In this blog post I explain my way and which products I use for this.

Make your hair wet
When I wet my hair in the shower, I let the water run through my hair. I make sure that I don't rub my hair too much, because then my curls will remain intact as much as possible.
I also massage my scalp well with circular movements. This ensures that the 'dirt' is loosened properly and the blood supply to the scalp is stimulated. This ensures that nutrients go to the hair follicles, keeping your hair healthy and growing.
Shampoo
If you use shampoo, preferably wash only your scalp. Rinse the shampoo gently, do not rub your hair too much now.
I don't use shampoo every time, because shampoo also removes your healthy natural fats from your scalp. And with my hair I always notice when I wash it with shampoo, that it is a bit drier than when I wash it without shampoo.
With my hair it doesn't really matter which shampoo I use, but I do notice a difference between shampoos with or without sulfates. That is why I use CG-friendly shampoo from Nature Box.
Conditioner
When I rinse the shampoo, I take some conditioner in my hands and rub it in the palms of my hands.
Then I divide my hair into a number of equal parts and start to 'lubricate' each part with conditioner. In the meantime I detangle my hair with my fingers. I manage to get the tangles out, but I can understand that this is a different story for others. Then I advise you to use a comb with wide teeth to detangle your hair.
When I did this, I take a little conditioner in my hands and I 'lubricate' it a little more over the top of my hair. If your hair gets greasy quickly, you shouldn't do this. I let this withdraw for a while. I never keep track of time, but I always wash the rest of my body and when I did this, I rinse the conditioner out of my hair my hair.
I rinse my hair very briefly with some colder water, which means that my hair sheds less. The conditioner from Nature Box works very well for my hair.
Tip: leave-in conditioner
After washing, i sometimes use a leave-in conditioner, but if you don't have it, it also works well for me not to rinse the conditioner completely.
I use the leave-in conditioner from Yari.
